HANNAH E.

Developer/Owner

Combining years of interior design and candle making, this venture is truly a culmination of passions. My belief is that it is the details that really take a space from decorated to designed. The look, the feel, and yes, the fragrance. A kitchen goes from clean to classic when a candle is burning by the stove, and a living room changes from comfortable to cozy when warmed by the inviting smell of that flickering candle on the coffee table.

After years of implementing a candle as the final touch in designing spaces for clients, I realized how hard it was to find a quality candle made with safe ingredients that was also aesthetically pleasing. So, my entrepreneurial and enneagram 8 qualities took over and I began making my own candles! Candle making is a skill, but making a candle fit in your home is an art. That is how the drive and dream for Matchmade Candle was created. I'm living out my passion by sourcing the best of luxury + natural worlds to curate candles from our home to be enjoyed in yours.

OUR INGREDIENTS

There are a variety of waxes for candle making. We choose 100% natural soy wax sourced locally in the U.S. for several reasons. Soy wax is natural and biodegradable, making it an environmentally friendly choice. It also has a lower melting point which allows candles to burn slower and at a lower temperature providing longevity and optimal scent throw.

For wicking, cotton is our go-to. Cotton wicks, unlike commonly used lead wicks, provide an eco-friendly & safe burn for your space. While also reducing the black smoke that you may have experienced with other candles.

Our fragrances are also locally sourced with the highest quality ingredients. Our distributor is a member of the International Fragrance Association and is in compliance with all purity and safety standards.

Lastly, our glass is reusable. Since all products within the candles are natural, we highly encourage customers to simply wash the glass with warm soapy water and enjoy their vessel as a flower vase or that perfect cocktail glass, post-burn.
